The curriculum encompasses fundamental object-oriented programming based on the Python language. The course is feedback-intensive and experiential, instructing students on basic programming principles and use of standard software libraries in a collaborative, supportive environment. Upon completion, the student has the ability to independently design and create programs to solve useful problems.
Each student is provided a portable computer for the educational program. When the student completes the course, the computer is donated to the student as a resource for continued development and maturation.
